DIY KIT ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
DEFAULT SETTINGS
- I/O PORT - 0x388 / 0x389
- Please let us know if You need different settings - preferably before purchase, unless You have access to a programmer
that can write a JED file into Lattice GALs and Atmel ATFs
PRO VERSION
The PRO version differs from the standard one by:
- Additional filters on all power supply rails
- Analog ground separated from digital ground by choke
- Looking much more beefy with big fat chokes on the board :)
The sound chip and op amps are the same as in the standard version. Some indication of difference in sound quality can be found in this video by CRG aka Causal Retro Gamer. Your results may vary depending on how noisy Your setup is.
DRIVERS, TEST SOFTWARE
- The card does not require any drivers to function under DOS. Any piece of software that supports the original Adlib sound card
will work without any modifications - Windows 95 and Windows 98 have built in drivers for the original Adlib card, and these will also work with our version
- The floppy disk that came with the original Adlib card contains some test utilities - download here
- AAPRO recommends 7-zip to extract zip and tar.bz2 files - get it here
